About the Artist

My name is Chris Brazelton, and I am the artist behind The Painted Gospel. I was born and raised in the historic and picturesque town of Winchester, Virginia, and I've been dedicated to living and sharing the teachings of Jesus from a young age. First and foremost, I paint to share the gospel and the love of Jesus through art.

My work as an artist is deeply grounded in my faith in Jesus Christ. Every painting begins with prayer, seeking divine inspiration and guidance. I search the scriptures to create each painting, with each artwork rooted in a specific Biblical story or passage. You'll find these stories detailed in the descriptions of each painting, inviting you to explore and connect with the deeper messages they convey.

It is my sincere hope that my paintings remind you of the love of our Heavenly Father and the teachings of Jesus. Whether you are here for inspiration, comfort, or simply to appreciate the beauty of Christ-centered art, I am grateful for the opportunity to share my work with you.

Media & Techniques

My preferred medium is digital art, crafted using Adobe Photoshop. To enhance and perfect each piece, I employ Adobe Lightroom's nuanced adjustments and Topaz Gigapixel's state-of-the-art upscaling technology, ensuring that every print is rendered with the utmost clarity and detail, ready to inspire viewers in its physical form.

But my work goes beyond digital media. I handmake, sign, and ship each of my prints. I also offer exclusive hand embellishing for my prints to create unique pieces that are closer to original paintings. With hand embellishing, I apply delicate layers of acrylic paint and gel media to enhance the print, bringing to life the rich textures and dynamic brushstrokes that characterize my work. This technique not only adds a dimensional quality to the prints but also infuses them with the unique essence of a traditional painting.
