Bathed in the divine glow of a setting sun, my latest piece, "Road to Emmaus," inspired by Luke 24:13-35, captures the sacred moment when two disciples, oblivious to the identity of their companion, walk and converse with the risen Christ. The brilliance of the sun, forming a halo around the Savior, symbolizes the dawning of recognition soon to occur in their hearts.
In this piece, I am particularly moved by the interplay of light and shadow, a gentle yet powerful representation of spiritual enlightenment. The sun’s rays, breaking through the silhouetted figures, highlight the Savior's concealed divinity and the unfolding realization of His disciples.
