“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace” — Luke 2:14 (KJV, excerpt)
Story Behind the Art
An angel lowers her gaze toward a bouquet of white flowers and evergreen. Cream wings frame her red robe, and a golden halo shines behind her head. Angel with Winter Flowers is paired with Luke 2:14, the praise of the heavenly host at the announcement of Jesus' birth.
In Luke's account, the shepherds hear good news of great joy. The host praises God, speaking of glory and peace. This floral angel offers a symbolic way to celebrate that praise. Her still pose gives the work a gentle pace, while the red, green, and gold place it within the Christmas season.
The white flowers stand out against the rich color of the robe. Holly and red berries return in the corners, drawing the composition together without crowding the face. The painted gold details add warmth. Each part of the scene supports the angel's calm presence and the bouquet held close to her heart.
Christmas praise can have a place in the home alongside the music, meals, and traditions we share. This work suits a moment of pause before the day fills up. Its verse directs our gratitude toward God and the gift of the Savior's birth. The angel serves that Christmas message through a familiar tradition of devotional art.
Display it near a Christmas gathering space or in a bedroom with warm wood and soft green accents. It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who loves angel art and flowers. Choose the size that suits your space or theirs, and bring Angel with Winter Flowers into the season.
