In "By His Wounds #2," inspired by 2 Peter 2:24-25, the Savior's hand reaches out—marked by the nail scar, but filled with infinite love and mercy. In this piece, the Savior invites us to come unto Him, to accept the healing and redemption He offers. The warm golden light symbolizes His everlasting grace, shining on everyone who is willing to take His hand. His wounds are reminders of His suffering, and they are evidence of His victory over sin and death, offered freely to all who believe.

One of my favorite features of this piece is the perspective. It feels like Jesus is reaching directly toward you, as if this moment is personal, holy, and meant just for you. It says that no matter where we are in life, His hand is never too far, His love never withdrawn. He welcomes us home, always.

While I worked on "By His Wound #2," I found myself thinking back to the times when I have needed to reach out to the Savior.
