“Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace” — Mark 5:34 (KJV, excerpt)

Story Behind the Art

In Mark 5:27–34, a woman comes through the crowd and touches Jesus' garment. She is healed, and He calls her Daughter. Faith in Him #3 draws from that encounter. In this scene, the Savior lifts her by the hand as she looks up through tears, with golden light shining near her heart.

Their joined hands are the center of the work. Her face holds the joy of being seen and helped. The deep, dark background gives space to that meeting, while the gold light surrounds her. Our eyes move from her lifted gaze to the hand that holds her steady.

Jesus pauses to speak with the woman who came to Him in faith. He hears her story and sends her away in peace. Those words give this work its heart. For a quiet moment at home, the painting turns our thoughts toward the Savior's care for a person whose suffering He knows.

This piece suits a bedroom, prayer corner, or place where you sit with Scripture. Its cream and gold tones bring warmth to a wall, while the dark background gives the scene depth. It also makes an encouraging gift for someone who loves this account of Christ's compassion and the woman's faith.

Alongside Faith in Him #2, which shows her reaching for His garment, this work carries the story into a scene of being lifted. The two can share a wall or stand on their own. My hope is that her upward gaze helps you pause with Christ's words of peace. Choose your layout, size, and frame, and bring Faith in Him #3 into your home.
