This painting, inspired by John 14:18-19, portrays a powerful and moving scene: Jesus leading a lost child home through a dark, wintry forest, with the welcoming light of the child's home glowing warmly in the distance.
In creating this artwork, I was deeply moved by the promise Jesus makes in these verses: "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live." This passage resonates with the assurance of Jesus' presence in our lives, especially during our darkest and most challenging times.
My favorite aspect of this painting is the contrast between the dark, uncertain forest and the inviting light of the home.
