"Hear Him," my latest piece in the “Come Follow Me” series, is a poignant painting that draws inspiration from Matthew 19:14. This artwork captures the essence of the call to "hear Him," a reminder of the sacred instances when God the Father has directed us to listen to His Son, Jesus Christ.
In this painting, Jesus is depicted teaching a group of children in a luminous wheat field, symbolizing His open invitation expressed in Matthew 19:14: "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." The children's rapt attention contrasts with distant figures, seemingly unaware of Christ's presence, illustrating the choice we face to either embrace His teachings or remain distant.
