Light Over Bethlehem | Signed Handmade Art Print

Light Over Bethlehem sets the Nativity at the foot of a hillside town. A star shines above pale stone homes while warm light spills from the small stable. This vertical fine art paper print pairs a peaceful Christmas scene with God's promise in Micah 5:2.

“yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel” — Micah 5:2 (KJV, excerpt)

Story Behind the Art

Micah names Bethlehem as the place from which God's promised ruler will come. A small town carries a great promise. Light Over Bethlehem brings that truth into a scene of stone homes, rounded trees, and winding steps. At the foot of the hill, the newborn Savior rests in a simple stable.

The town fills much of the painting, but the brightest warmth comes from the smallest shelter. Mary and Joseph lean toward the manger as golden light falls across the ground. High above them, a single star shines in a blue opening in the sky. Our eyes move between that light and the family below.

There is hope in the way this painting gives a small place such lasting importance. God knew Bethlehem before the world watched for the birth of Jesus. His work can begin in places that seem easy to overlook. The scene turns our thoughts toward the faithful care behind His promise, and toward Christ who came among ordinary homes and people.

The tall arrangement of houses and steps makes this work especially suited to an entryway or a family reading corner. It gives children details to explore as you tell them where Jesus was born. It also offers a warm Christmas gift for someone who loves the story of Bethlehem. Choose the size for your space and bring Light Over Bethlehem home.
