For the fourth piece in my "Good Shepherd" series, I wanted to show a moment of pure love and joy—Jesus smiling as He finds a once-lost lamb. The warmth of the golden sunset, the peaceful stream, and the flock gathered behind Him all create a calming and sacred feeling. This scene says that the Savior knows each of us personally. He searches for us, calls us by name, and when we allow Him to gather us in, He holds us close with a love beyond measure.

One of my favorite features of this painting is the expression on Christ’s face. His happiness comes from finding the lost sheep, and because bringing us home is His greatest joy. This piece represents the Savior's delight in our return, no matter how far we have wandered. His love is never conditional, never hesitant—it is always overflowing and full of grace.

As I worked on "Good Shepherd #4," I though back to times in my own life when I have felt lost, when I have wondered if I was too broken or too distant to come back. But each time, the Savior has reassured me: You were never too far. This painting is my way of sharing the testimony that no matter where we are, Jesus is always reaching for us, ready to carry us home.
