Drawing inspiration from Isaiah 43:18-19, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland," this painting portrays Jesus walking away from the empty tomb into a forest abloom with the fresh blossoms of spring.

In this artwork, I wanted to encapsulate the essence of hope and the promise of new life that Jesus’ resurrection signifies for each of us. The spring cherry blossoms, in their delicate beauty and fleeting nature, symbolize the transformative power of Christ's love and the new paths He carves for us in the most unexpected places.

The feature that captivates me the most is the stone positioned prominently in the foreground. It's not gently displaced but cast aside with divine force, illustrating the boundless power of God. This stone, once a seal to the tomb, now lies distant, a testament to the unstoppable might that heralded the resurrection.
